Introduce Your Child to Music with Mommy and Me Classes!

Classes Begin in early September

By Sponsored Content August 29, 2019

When my now 8-year-old daughter was 18 months old, I took her to her very first Music Together® class. We were living near Houston at the time. That class became the first of many over the next few years. She LOVED it and I enjoyed the quality time the classes gave me with her. It was also a great place to meet other moms ... something very important for a first time mom! When we moved to the Nashville area, we took classes here as well! Once my youngest was born, she and I did several classes as well! These classes left me with many wonderful memories with each girl. It also taught me that I can sing a little bit too!

Did you know that ALL children are musical? That's right! Your child has the ability to sing on pitch and keep rhythm! That's the premise of national program Music Together®, which offers classes to introduce children to a wide variety of music through songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement and instrument play. Research shows early music education is not only beneficial for learning music, but also on academic skill development.

Bethany Woelber is the director of First Notes Music, a Music Together® program, which offers classes in Spring Hill for children ages birth to 5 years. Bethany, who holds a degree in Music Education from Azusa Pacific University, was first introduced to Music Together as a mom looking for fun activities to do with her young son. She fell in love with the atmosphere, support, education and sense of community the classes provided. She also felt an even deeper bond with her child after completing a few sessions. She decided she wanted to provide the same experience to moms in the Franklin and Spring Hill area!

"I love how Music Together empowers families to use music more at home to have fun and help their child develop," said Bethany.

Bethany is holding classes on Tuesday and Friday mornings at All That Dance, located at 5228 Main Street in Spring Hill. Classes will last for 10 weeks. Friday classes will meet from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. beginning September 6 and run through November 8.
