Enjoying Fall Break at Home!

After weeks in the 90s, the first signs of Fall are in the forecast. Who else is excited? Maury County schools and Franklin Special School District will be on Fall Break October 7 through October 11. Williamson County's Fall Break is October 10 and 11. For those of you staying in town and looking for something fun to do, here are some great ideas.

*Take a walk around Radnor Lake or visit the nature center at Warner Park and enjoy the changing the beautiful autumn scenery.

*Pick out a pumpkin or two and enjoy Fall festivities at Gentry's Farm, Noble Springs Dairy, or Lucky Ladd Farm! You can also get pumpkins at Wilson Family Farm, Cheekwood Harvest or the Cooper Trooper Foundation Pumpkin Patch!

*Make a fire plane at the Home Depot kid's workshop on Saturday, October 5 at 10 a.m.! This free event is offered at Home Depot in Brentwood, Franklin or Spring Hill. Click here to register.

*Have a relaxing evening with family and friends at Music in the Vines at Arrington Vineyards!

*Visit one of the many historical sites this area has to offer, such as Rippavilla Plantation in Spring Hill, Carnton Plantation, Carter House or Lotz House in Franklin, The Hermitage in Nashville (the home of President Andrew Jackson) or Belle Meade Plantation.
