Scheduling family time as part of your back-to-school routine doesn’t have to add stressful planning to your already full to-do list! Deer Run Camps & Retreats makes it easy for you to add a weekend together with everything planned for you — including lodging, meals and recreation time — so you can have time to connect with each other and have loads of outdoor fun!

August 25-27 is the FATHER-SON ADVENTURE WEEKEND for all ages with high-powered guy stuff that bonds fathers and sons together. There are football challenges, a wiffle ball home run derby, amateur fishing tournament, father-son project, lake swimming, archery target practice and more! You can add additional adventure recreation options to your weekend like pedal kart races, archery tag, paintball, giant swing, leap of faith, zip line adventures, climbing tower and an amateur 3-D archery tournament. Stay in one of the cabins on site or bring your own tent for a camping experience with your boys. More info and registration: http://deerrun.camp/events/father-son/

Labor Day Weekend, September 1-4, Deer Run has a 3-night FAMILY CAMP. This truly is a life-changing vacation experience! It’s an opportunity to create long-lasting memories, experience the outdoors and strengthen relationships with meaningful family and couple time.
Each family has a personal family assistant — a summer staff college student assigned to your family — who helps as needed with your kids, plus engages them in camp activities, while you and your spouse are in couple sessions and at the couple’s romance dinner.
There are numerous family recreational choices: lake time, climbing tower, giant swing, zip line adventures, fishing and more. And challenges to win points for the family camp trophy: pedal kart races, family skit/talent show, cardboard boat regatta, corn hole tournament, archery & BB guns and carpet ball.
Your family will enjoy delicious meals (yay to no cooking!), accommodations in The Lodge at Deer Run and family relaxation/fun times including an outdoor movie night, wagon rides, campfire & s’mores and daily devotions. More info and registration: http://deerrun.camp/events/family-camp/

September 15-17, the MOTHER-DAUGHTER GETAWAY WEEKEND takes place for ages 5 & up. The theme focuses on “Be Still — Get Real!” plus you’ll have numerous recreation options to enjoy new adventures, fun experiences and laughter together including relay games, archery & BB guns, mother-daughter restorative yoga, climbing tower, giant swing, geocaching and nighttime stargazing and wagon rides. You can also add zip line adventures and pedal karts to your weekend.
There’s plenty of girl fun with a glow-night dance party, movie & popcorn, crafts and Western night where you have an opportunity to dress up in your cowgirl outfit and boots and enjoy square dancing together! More info and registration: http://deerrun.camp/events/mother-daughter/
