Local Holiday Light Contests Abound in 2020

By Amber St. John Goss, Publisher December 7, 2020

Last week we encouraged Spring Hill/Thompson's Station residents to put up some lights and the $20 entry fee for the Kiwanis charity holiday lights contest, and this week there's even more on the line--Ace Hardware has announced a town-versus-town contest where the top three towns with the most entries earn donations to their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital!

You're (Roughly) Three Clicks Away from Helping Your Town Vie for a $7,500 donation to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital

This amazing holiday light contest has high stakes in terms of potential donation to a Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital. In Middle Tennessee, our local CMN Hospital is Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. All it takes to enter is a few lights, a photo, and a free entry! Follow the simple instructions at this link and the competition is on! The donations that can be won for local hospitals are $7,500 first prize, $5,000 second prize, and $2,500 third prize donations from Ace Hardware. Thanks, Ace!

Notes from the fine print: "your Light Display may have as many or as few lights in it as you want, but there must be a light in it to be eligible - this is not a contest about the quality or quantity of lights in your Light Display, and the light or lights in your Light Display may be old or new, purchased or borrowed (with permission)". Also, "Limit one Entry per person per eligible Social Media Platform during the Posting Period. Anyone found to be posting Entries beyond the Entry limit will be disqualified and none of their Entries will count toward their Community's Submissions."
