It's So Easy to Pick Up Ice Cream with Wal-Mart Grocery Pick Up

It's officially summer in Middle Tennessee and you know that that means! School's out and our days are filled with play dates, swimming, hanging outside and exploring nature. It also means it's time for our favorite summer treat ... ice cream!

To celebrate our first full week of summer vacation, we ordered some of our favorite Unilever brands (including Klondike®, Good Humor®, Breyers®, Magnum® and Popsicle®) using the Wal-Mart Grocery Pick Up.

Can I just say how much I love the Wal-Mart Grocery Pick Up? I don't even have to get out of my car to shop! Being able to simply drive up and get my ice cream (and groceries!) is perfect for busy moms - especially when you have a nearly 4-year-old who can be hard to get back in the car once you've let her out.

Using Walmart Online Grocery Pickup is super easy:

1 - Order Online: First, you visit grocery.walmart.com and sign up. If you already have an account, you sign in as usual, find your store and select a time slot for pick up. Time slots are in one hour increments. For example, my pick up time was between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., which meant I could arrive at any time during that time slot and my order would be ready within a few minutes of arrival. Search for items you want using the search bars. In addition to getting some of our favorites, we also tried some we haven't had before, such as Magnum® Minis and Breyers® New 2-in-1 flavors. Once you order is submitted, Wal-Mart will contact you via e-mail or text when your order is ready.

2 - Pick up: When it's time to pick up your order, look for the signs directing you to the Wal-Mart Online Grocery Pick Up area (at the Spring Hill store, pickup is located on the left side of the store - it's well marked). You pull up to the kiosk, put in your name or order number and it tells you at which of the numbered spots to park. Within a few minutes, your order will be hand-delivered and loaded. If any substitutions were made, you will go over them to make sure they work for you. I especially appreciate how the loading area was covered since it was raining when I arrived.

3 - Eat your ice cream: Once your groceries are loaded, you just head home, unload and enjoy your treats! Our ice cream even made it home nice and cold, which was great. In fact, when I am the one doing the shopping, sometimes it takes me so long to get through my shopping trip, that my ice cream gets a little soft, but using the grocery pick up meant it was still solid when I got home! Win-win!

Here are some of our favorites:

Me: Good Humor® Strawberry Shortcake Bars

My husband: Klondike®

My oldest daughter: Good Humor® Oreo Cookie Bar Bars

My youngest daughter: Popsicle® Fruit Pops

I loved the convenience of Wal-mart Grocery Pick up - the process was easy and the ice cream was delicious! I see more pick ups in our future this summer! Try out Wal-Mart Grocery Pick Up for yourself.
