Have an aspiring actor or actress in your home? Approximately 50 to 60 local children will be cast in the upcoming Montana-based Missoula Children’s Theater's production of "Gulliver's Travels."

In Missoula’s take on this classic, brave explorer Gulliver is lost in space when he finds his spaceship wrecked and his trusty computer on the fritz. While transporting from world to world, Gulliver discovers fighting aliens, foolish Yahoos, robots and more-all who need just as much help from Gulliver as Gulliver needs from them!

Auditions are scheduled for Monday, April 10 at the new Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park, located at 110 Everbright Avenue in Franklin. Auditions begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m.

Children between the ages of 5 and 18 wishing to audition should arrive before the scheduled starting time and plan to stay for the entire two-hour schedule. No advance preparation or resumes are needed, but there is a $25 activity fee for each actor cast in the production, with payment due the first day of rehearsal.

Rehearsals will be held the same week and the performance will take place Saturday, April 15 with a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. evening performance at the new Williamson County Performing Arts Center, located at 112 Everbright Street in Franklin. Both shows are open to the public. Tickets are $5 each with children ages 3 and under admitted free. For full details, click here.
